Established in 1990, and based in Prince George, BC, Brownridge & Company is a general insurance brokerage, serving clients throughout British Columbia and Alberta.

Our Personal Insurance Department offers a broad range of products, including home, condo, travel and recreational insurance.

As an ICBC Autoplan brokerage, we have an experienced auto insurance staff with particular expertise in commercial auto and fleet insurance.

We have a group of Commercial Insurance professionals with extensive industry knowledge, and we offer insurance services in all areas of commercial property, liability, bonding, and risk management.

History

The company was founded as a partnership with TOS Insurance Services Ltd. of Vancouver, BC, which allowed for access to a wider range of insurance markets and industry experience for the new firm.  During this time the company experienced extensive growth, particularly in the areas of commercial insurance and ICBC Autoplan.

In 1999, with a desire to keep the brokerage independent and locally owned, Brian Brownridge acquired the shares held by TOS Insurance, upon their decision to sell to a publicly traded insurance consolidator.

We began with a staff of three and no book of business, but had the desire to succeed. From that beginning to the present day, the firm has grown significantly, with a full staff of licensed agents, and has become one of the premier commercial insurance brokerages in Northern British Columbia.
